This is an exquisite hand fabricated platinum pendant necklace with a 9mm opal cabochon center stone and a 6x4.5mm oval opal cabochon drop. The setting holds 14 small old mine cut diamonds in mill-grained bezels. The total length of the necklace is 18" excluding the pendant, which measures 1" from the top to the bottom of the oval pendant dangle. The chain has a safety hook type clasp. This piece dates from around 1910, toward the end of the Edwardian era, and is completely original.
